In this interview, Maria shares her journey as a stylist, her favorite techniques, and advice for new stylists!
What inspired you to join the beauty industry?
My biggest inspiration & introduction to the beauty industry sparked my interest very young! My parents – both beauty professionals with over 30 years experience, once owned a barbershop/ salon together. I loved spending my weekends there & also loved trying new hairstyles and cuts I saw in the shop on my doll heads! I just always knew I would grow to create behind the chair!
What are your top 3 must-have clean beauty products?

What are your favorite techniques?
I love asking and learning more about what self-care looks & feels like to my guests. If there a way to help elevate that feeling or accomplish a certain look/style. It helps me place intention where it’s needed during our appointments together.
What is your advice for aspiring stylists?
Having confidence in anything you do is key. Building the confidence comes with having knowledge behind it. Never lose sight of your true passions in the journey to get there! As a Stylist who specializes in custom color & extensions, I’ve prioritized extending my craft with inclusivity to all guests!
